Kew Red Lavender....
Category: Lavender | Posted: Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:33 pm ...fail?? I've had it in the pot it's supposed to be in and it just wasn't looking good. No new growths at all. So last night, in hopes of keeping this one around, I went drastic. I snipped off what roots were there. They were all dried out! Then I dipped it in rooting gel and it's now sitting in a bit of water. I just hope I didn't kill it! eek! I may have to do the same with my Creek Goodwin. I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong that these were not thriving. Hmmm. I like this experience! :) This blog entry has been viewed 277 times

Category: Lavender | Posted: Wed Jun 30, 2010 4:16 pm So I attempted to propagate about 10 lavender stems. Dipped in rooting gel then stuck them in small pots of potting soil. They wilted and turned fuzzy moldy. Ick. I've propagated lavender before but this is the first time I tried it from root gel to soil. Now I have about 30 lavender stems that have been dipped into rooting gel and are now soaking in water for a few weeks. This seems to be the best method that I've experienced with so far! Here's hoping.... Last edited: Wed Jun 30, 2010 4:20 pm This blog entry has been viewed 242 times
