I do like bee balm, the flower form is so unusual. However, I find it frustrationg to grow. It travels thinly about my garden, so that I get a stalk here, 2 stalks there, etc. Not a cohesive show. It is also subject to mildew.

Lately I have been transplanting the 'travelers' together in the spring to have a more cohesive showing. It is working, but of course I don't find it labor free.
