In its younger stages the small heart shaped leaves make a nice house plant, and cohabitates well with ficus benjamina as a ground cover for the potted tree. As a house plant the leaves have stayed small and heart-shaped for 15 years it has been in the same pot as a ficus benjamina. When grown outside the size of the leaves mature and change in shape and size as the vine becomes more vigorous.
