If you feed squirrels or Blue Jays unroasted peanuts be ready to find the plants everywhere and I do mean everywhere. But I think they are great.

Some would call this a weed, but it is drought tolerant, grows quickly and almost anywhere, has a cute bright blue flower...what's wrong with that? I have some standard perennials that don't do as well as this one. ;)

Lovely woodland plant. Grows wild in damp woodlands throughout the eastern US. All parts of the plant are poisonous.

Like most mints, chocolate mint will spread if planted in a non-confined area. In my experience, mint is very easy to grow, care for, and propagate. The leaves can be harvested many times throughout the summer. A simple treat you may want to try using chocolate mint: cut strawberries, dust lightly with sugar and toss with chopped chocolate mint (thanks mom!).

This is a stinky bulb and is said to repel rodents.

Found some growing wild a few years back, decided to replant some of them around the house, and boy have they taken well. Just noticed the first blooms for several of the second generation plants.

Beautiful purple, they bloom the first Spring after being planted in Fall. I bought two packages of 18 each and have them just about everywhere in the front and back gardens.
