    Tom thank you for posting that poem. And actually come to think of it I think I know why I made the previous connection. I had an illustrated book of nursery rhymes when I was a wee barn. The Old Lady who Lived in a Shoe was there and also the crooked man. The illustration accompanying that poem did indeed (as far as I can recall) have a house that looked quite similar to the house Toni posted :) Aaah the interconnections of the mind. It was one of my favourite poems.

    Frank, Quite possibly it was the same book that I had, as the bird house brought back a rush of childhood memories. Remembering all the old Mother Goose nursery rhymes, and others could be a long blog entry, or could produce a lot of forum responses.
