Happy Thursday morning. We had another freeze this morning... ice on the windshield again, but not as thick as yesterday. And we'll be warming up...
Hi and welcome from SE Texas. You've come to the right place to learn. And don't worry... we're all addicting to buying plants!
Sure looks like Spring has come to your gardens! I think it'll be a while before I see too much new growth (getting another freeze or two next...
The cheapest I got gas recently was around $1.75 but it's back on the climb now with prices around $2.05.
Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone!!
Happy Wednesday morning. Had to scrape ice off the windshield this morning. It wasn't super thick, but ice is ice. But the sun is out and warming...
Cayuga, I did leave some seeds on it but harvested some to hopefully start and put in other areas of the garden. I picked up a Dianthus yesterday...
Thanks Toni. Now if I see one I'll know what it is and how to use it.
I've never heard of a flower frog. Toni can you post a close up of it?
Okay... I don't see a frog??? But I love the other stuff. Especially that bench and the shutters. Your outhouse birdhouse reminds me of one hubby...

Cayuga... they might have a better chance if I remember to start them!
Ronni... yep... big difference. Straw is a stalk, usually a waste product of wheat, that's used as bedding for barnyard animals. Hay—typically...
Right now my ground is so soft, I barely need a hammer for the spikes! and with only 5 trees to feed... the spikes seem to be the easiest method...
I looked for straw the last couple of years for my strawberries, but could only find hay. :(
Cannas grow worst than weeds down here. I love 'em and keep some where it's easy to mow the escapees down. I do have some dwarf one's in...
I tend to be on the lazy side... so the spikes seem like less work - even though it's more expensive. I do use the 13-13-13 in the flower beds...
That's my plan for this weekend. I have been using those tree spikes. Have you tried those?
I'd love to spend a few days/weeks at that cabin. What a beautiful spot!
I'm confused... are you asking about CANNA or CALLA?
