I'm not sure if they do any damage. I haven't noticed any. The few times I saw them they were sipping nectar like butterflies and hummingbirds.
I see them at dusk around my butterfly bush. I thought they were hummingbirds the first time I saw them. [img] [img]
I have squirrel feeders and I leave corn around. The deer started eating the little apple tree again this year, so I put some corn by the tree....
