Heres the update,, as of tonight he is in Quwait now. He still hasn't got his flight itinerery, so we have no idea when he will leave or when he will arrive. But he did say when he gets to Germany (that could be tomorrow or the next day) he will call and let me know when he arrives at Leknes airport. He said he got his guitar, backpack and computer,, They are making him wear his uniform now, required because he is on military leave, so they couldn't get around that issue. He said he is bringing me a bag of Chips Ahoy cookies,,, lordy i haven't one of those in (counting fingers here) almost 4 yrs! He said he is very tired, but too excited to sleep. I told him join the club! lol. So we just have to wait on that phone call now. I did have nice long nails from winter and no gardening,,, they are gone now. KB, bless his heart, has taken to carrying 3 phones. I have to steal them from him when he's not looking. his phone, my phone and the house cordless. He said you never know what phone he might call on. so now we phone steal from each other...lol. KB has gone to bed an has all 3 on the bed table next to him,,, geeez. So I will update tomorrow if anymore news,,, even to say if theres no news.
0 days and counting--------------------------- Well Biita...the hour has arrived. Everyone is on pins and needles now. If you get any sleep tonight you should be awake and fresh as a daisy when he arrives. If Josh's arrival gets delayed for another 24 hours, I don't know what you'll do...You'll be a s limp as a disgrag and need some startch to keep you upright. Thank you SoJ! Sjoerd I have bypassed "take it easy" i think since he told me,,,lol. I can tell you it was very quiet here this morning getting KB off to work. He has this look on his face that if he grits his teeth anymore they are gonna break. I feel like i'm in a veggie coma, and any minute drool is going to escape. I can't get my fingers to co-operate with typing. lol. Even poor Balder is pouting, and lets out this huge sigh now and then. I was up most of the night, KB tossed and turned. Balder couldn't find a spot he wanted to lay down at. I can tell you we have absolutly no darknesss now,,lol. Its light all night long. but not mid night sun light. It's going to be a beautiful day here, so I'll keep myself occupied with working outside. Phone glued to my hip. Car has a full tank, incase i have to drive half way over Norway,,lol. I promise all, that when he gets here, I will let everyone know, I will put a thread out instead of here. During his stay there will definately have updates of his adventures with pics. We have 4 cableless lines for the computer hook up, so he will be using one of those with his computer. So when he takes some down time, and plays on his computer, I will post also. Okay today is supposed to be the day, he's in Quwait as we speak,,,,, lets hope the military ships him home today! 0 days,,,,,,,,
Yay! And if not today, then tomorrow, and that's definate. Go outside and play, or better still, go have some sleep. You've got the phones, you'll hear them if he phones you. Hang in there, girl, or he'll have to break out a sewing kit and stitch you up when he gets here.

I don't think there's another forum where all it's members are in such a highly stressed and excited state!!! My daughter even 'phoned me last night to ask if Josh had arrived yet!!!

Waiting, waiting, waiting. It sure takes a lot of time to fly across the continent doesn't it. He'll be there soon though. Well, that depends on how you define soon, I guess. I check in here several times a day but it doesn't make him get there any faster. dooley
Question: How does the strongest army in the world, who can drop a bomb .03mm on a nail the color of sand in the desert, but can not find an airport on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Thats the hold up. They can't find Leknes on the map. They can't find Leknes Airport more like it. Josh called and said they are working hard to find that airport in Norway. lol. So he's still in Quwait, but we gave him 2 other airports that are near us. So if they find Leknes, he will go there, or he will go to Bodø, or to Hardstad. But he will be leaving ASAP according to the officer I talked with. I will update again tonight. Josh said he would call again. (someone tell Frank we need a smiley that hits its head on a brick wall,,lol.) I'm sorry everyone, I wish I had better news, but he will get here! I stayed outside today, it was beautiful out, high of 19 C. or 67 F. I started to pull weeds from an area that is ornamental. I now have a very ornamental rock area with a huge bald spot... i got over zealous. or spaced out,,, one or the other.
