Gardening New Year Resolutions…for 2025. I will no longer order rare and unusual plants sent to my home from specialty nurseries, knowing it upsets the living tweetle out of my DH when he sees how much I paid for them. (Instead, I’ll have them sent to a neighbor’s house so I can sneak them into the garden when my DH isn’t home.) I will stay in great shape for gardening by making sure my diet includes all the good things that scientists recently have found are good for us, such as wine, beer, chocolate and Brussels sprouts. (When will they add hot-fudge sundaes to that list?)
Pac— well done! Those are the resolutions of a strong and competent gardener.with all the correct priorities.
Nay, but I will try a couple of things this year— some old some new. Resolutions…hmmmm. I shall have to think about that, miss.
Sjoerd your wise to think ! Another garden resolutions… I’ll never again try to bring a 15-foot-tall Eucalyptus home in my Mini Suv by standing it up through the sunroof. (Or at least if I do, I won’t use the drive-through at my local espresso place with the low overhang again.)
Home for a good day… Good one… From my list of Garden Resolutions for 2025 . Next time I go to a plant sale I will remember to hook the horse trailer to the truck for loading up those 40 gallon rare shade trees and 45 pound bags of rocks. And bribe a neighbor boy with a few bucks to unload.
