Well Pete, I don't know what the explosive removal people have at their disposal, but I feel sure that will use conventional sweeping devices and possible geophysics equipment. But thatis only my speculation. There is so often various sorts of WWII explosives found in our country that their removal is very professionally handled, It began immediatly after the germans retreated and headed home. It seems that every few weeks an unexploded bombs or some other piece is found as farm land is tilled, roads are built or new homes constructed.

CP, Schoorldam is a small village and I do not know of another allotment complex in that area, although there may be. If there is, I sure hope that there are some vacancies.
I can't speak for other allotmant complexes, but ours stays pretty much full. It seems that no sooner has a plot become free, than another person takes it over.
I get notifications when lotties become available so that I can place them on my website. Sadly, the person doesn't always tell me when they have been rented.

Our fingers are crossed for them.
