    Amazing stories Sjoerd! I really enjoyed them, and the pics.

    The urinals on the streets are so cool! What a great idea!

    The sad story of WWII and the kids reminds me of how close I came to being blown up also in my youth. In my early 20's, a friend found some WWII shells that we all thought were 'duds' on the beach near a fort. I took one home to give to my Dad ( a WWII vet) for Christmas. It rolled around in my car floor for two weeks till it was time to present it to him. He was shocked! He immediately gave me 'the dickens and took them to the Naval dispensary and they blew them up! Apparently they were still LIVE!!!

    That story of yours sounds like something right out of Alfred Hitchcock. Gad! :eek:
