Think all over world strange weather. And have gone through flooding can feel your pain. did a lot of praying. Dh built flood wall. But yes Animal know-bad weather is coming. And pray your rain goes to someplace that is dry.
Hi Folks,..we had a lovely sunny day here today,..blue sky and calm waters,..however its raining just now at 0920 at night,..if we get another few inches of rain then the south side of the town nearest the river will flood many houses,..fingers crossed and sandbags ready just in case. Hi Carolyn,..very well rested thank you,..cabin fever was setting in as i couldn't get out and about with such heavy rain and wind,..thankfully today lifted the mood plus the odd day between the showers certainly helped.
Hi Cayuga Morning,..everyone is on a downer as its gone this way since Christmas,..i like water but not when it makes where i live look like an island and getting smaller day by day,.. i have taken up eating as a pastime,.. so have the cats and Molly,..
Wow... I sure hope Ma Nature decides to give you a break from all that rain. Seems even Molly isn't as happy as usual.
Have helped fill sand bags before. Not a easy task. Some of the cities making more flood wall and levees.

The town I grew up in has now hit over 12 ft. of snow this year. When the weather turns around I'm afraid there will be flooding here also. Stay safe Philip.
I'm hoping the sandbags can hold back the waters. The pretty blue skies do make it appear calm. Maybe you will not get the rain? Hoping not. Molly seems to be getting on just fine, happy and cute as ever. How are all the cats taking this?
Hi Folks,..another bright sunny day,..chilly but no rain now that is good news,..i managed some time in the garden as well. Hi Cheryl,..Molly was happy to get outdoors at last,..well for her two walks per day,..up to yesterday she had very brief walks,..no point in going out up to this with trees and branches coming down plus a few slates,..not to mention the two of us getting a soaking,..things are looking up now. ====================================================== Hi Connie,..very hard on the back filling those sandbags and just as hard on the arms carrying them to the barrier,..still it was great to activate muscles i forgot i had,.. . ==================================================== Hi Cayuga Morning,..when i get bored i eat and nothing seems to quell the hunger,..then i get bored with mundane food and start on Chinese food,..Indian Food,..Fish and Chips,..top of the list is Crispy Roast Duck on a bed of Oriental Veg,..worst of all i started smoking again,..i was off them since 2009,..but all this was due to cabin fever,..however smoking will cease as of next week as i never have any bother giving them up,.. ==================================================== Hi Gardenelf,..as you can see from my reply to Cayuga Morning,..the rot did set in but,..but i didn't lose my sense of humour,.. living with 9 cats and a dog,..oh and two new kittens,..you have to have a good sense of humour,.. =================================================== Hi Donna S,..gosh over 12 ft of snow is a hell of a lot,..come melting time its surely going to be dodgy,..looking at the weather in the USA some parts have had it VERY bad,..keep safe yourself and warm. =================================================== Hi Kay,..yep we got a reprieve this past two days and the water didn't reach those sandbags,..fingers crossed the river will recede,..oh the cats were cute enough most days all nine of them were sitting in front of the fire sleeping,..well until i opened the fridge door then it was a stampede into the kitchen,..i mentioned this before that they seem to be wired to the fridge bulb,.. as for Molly well she was happy to get into water but didn't get out enough.
Do they have Flood insurance there? Bought it after helping family member gut their home in Cedar Rapids in 08. It was 20 feet over flood stage.
Hi Connie,..i presume those houses near the river would have insurance cover however there is always someone who let the insurance lapse or couldn't meet the cost as the insurance for areas prone to flood is pretty high,..in the region of $1000.
