    Hiya.

    No, I do not think that it is pointless. I use green manure every year and cover my veggie beds with it thickly each winter. It breaks down and the useful minerals go into the soil. In come cases, I dig the semi-composted green manure into the soil in the very early spring.

    The two green manure's that I use exclusively are Borage and Phacaelia.

    I had pulled them out and laid them flat on the ground.
