That sure sounds like it's okay for men to be polite but women don't need to be polite. That's demeaning and puts women in a lower class. We outgrew that years ago. I'm always polite and know how to say "please and thank you." I wait my turn just like everyone else. A woman cut in front of me in the grocery store yesterday. Then, she glared at me as if she was waiting for me to say something. But, just because she was impolite didn't mean I had to be and I didn't say a word. dooley
Well S-H, although you did succeed. If there is money to be made out of opening doors for ladies, or smiling at a stranger, there would be lots of very rich Texans! I doubt if "confidence tricksters" will add politeness and kindness to their repertoire.
Dooley, I love it when we can give back with kindness/grace or whatever you want to name a positive response when given a rude/negative action. With people like you doing just that it really makes this a better planet. You go girl!
