Another Day At The Greenhouses!!! (21/03/2013)

    Jordan, Did you have to mix the soil by hand, or I would assume in a big mixer, or does the greenhouse use a pre mixed baled product, and what brand do you use if it is baled? just curious. I have used Baccto but didn't like it terribly well, this year I am using Promix-mycorhyzia and I like it much better, and I wonder if it has a wetting agent in it as it wets much better than Baccto. But I did put a drop of molasses and a squirt of dishsoap in the water too, but I don't think that is the only reason it wets so much nicer.

    Hey Carolyn - We have a massive grinding machine, I lift the bales of dirt over the machine, I cut the bags open, then dump the square bale in, this crushes all the clumps then shoots it out the other end so nice soft dirt to work with. And the soil we use is called "Berger BM 1".
