Congrats of the new bike!! I have that same kind too, but black,, just a word of advise, buy some bungie cords,,not the real long ones but the little ones, and use if you stop to make purchases,, helps to keep the bags from flapping around in the basket...its how i transport alot of veggies from farm to farm.. or when buying raw milk from the dairy, helps to keep it standing up.
Good suggestion Biita...but aren't those bands standard on bikes there? IWe use them so much that I couldn't do without them. I also have some "bungi cords" extra for the really big or extra heavy stuff. Something else that is on my wife's bike is a basket in the front. Indispensible in the harvest and plant transferring times here. She has a bike sort especially made for 'deliveries' and it is very sturdy. Mine is more sleek and 'cool' more built for speed, but I carry enormous loads like huge sacks of soil or compost as well as the groceries. Anyway...She's got a new bike. This is great news. Enjoy that thing, S-mom!
I keep eyeballing my poor neglected bike, but it seems everytime I'm going somewhere I have other people or large amounts of groceries, etc. to haul. :-/ It doesn't really work for me at this stage in life except as a 'fun' thing. I like those 'adult tricycle' ones, with three wheels and a big basket to stuff in between the two rear ones, ooh that would be fun. We have some bike trails and bike lanes around here, they're slowly gaining in popularity. Enjoy the new bike, statsmom!
I don't usually ask for pictures since I have such an annoyingly rough time with them myself, but I'd really love a pic of your pink beach cruiser, it sounds absolutely darling! Be sure to get yourself a pink helmet too! I love those adult tricycles, I know of one that never gets ridden but the owner wants as much as a new one for it. I'm hoping she'll soften. It needs a good going over, and I'm thinking I could adapt it so my daughter could ride out with me. None of the common gizmos for this work for her.
IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! My bike got here Monday, my husband put it together for me and I've rode it to work the last 2 days!! I'm amazed at how out of shape I am For some reason I attract a lot of looky-lous :-o It must be because the bike is so bright. Either that or they are amazed to see a fat woman on a bike If I can sweet talk Glenda into posting my picture I'll show it to ya'll Deanna :-D
