Interesting Odif. I have never met anyone who has spoken Swahili. Is Swahili one of this clicking African languages? What it is related to?

Swahili is spoken in East africa. It is spoken by many tribes as well as the arab traders. I know that swahili is spoken in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Also in the Congo. Many words come from other languages. It has not got clicking sounds. Swahili is known as a bantu language. The main clicking language is spoken by the san people also known as bushman. They have many clicking sounds. I have forgotten most of my swahili, but I have been thinking of asking my aunt for lessons. I do remember the poem my mother taught me when I was a baby.

    Asante sana

Odif, cute poem! I see what you mean, the borrowing of words from other languages. I just google Swahili & saw it is indeed spoken in many African countries.
I wish you well in reacquainting yourself with Swahili
