Ronni.....where are you now....we wanna hear about your travels.... carolyn, yes we can be thankful...but the shower is still COLD and God can't help with this.....
So happy to oblige Barb!! A pitstop enroute to Oswego/Mexico where Ron's sister in law lives, and where we'll be staying. This is in Angola NY. There’s this cute little hexagonal building that looks mundane till you get inside, and then you find out it leads to this huge long wide hallway type thing THAT GOES OVER THE ENTIRE FREEWAY!!! And opens up at the other end to a gigantic Food Court!! Who the heck knew??? Ron says I must not get out much! *I* say Mind. blown!! And this home base for the next week. Sooo relaxing! We've been sitting outside in the morning to have our coffee. And again in the evening with drinks. Aaahhhh.
Sterling Renaissance Festival...what a blast! Rode a camel, lost a board game to a knight, ate a turkey leg, drank ye olde beer, got serenaded by a knave so wicked, gasped at jousting, caroused with Miguel and Don Juan, and got to meet and hang with another of Ron’s oldest and dearest friends. It was a good day! This is Miguel. Miguel says “ Rum makes you dumb. Whiskey makes you frisky. Tequila makes your clothes fall off.“ Be like Miguel. Drink whiskey and tequila!
Ronni your photographs cheered me up no end. I love the one of the pair of you in the stocks and you look very regal on that camel!
We went on a boat Tour of the Thousand Islands in Alexandria Bay, part of which is in Canada!! I took this pic from the shore of Alexander Bay. See where that arrow is pointing? That's Canada right there!!! Blew my mind! Anyway, the tour was fun. Most of the homes are each on their own individual island!! If the island is big enough, it houses several residences but I couldn't believe how many houses were jutting sitting atop their own island, some with smaller buildings, many with full boat houses, all of course with their own docks because they have to be able to come and go. Really amazing! Our sweet hostess/Ron's sister in law Patty (his brother passed away several years ago) She is such a lovely woman.
Oh boy how I'd enjoy living on a private island like one of those!! No neighbours to annoy you and you could do almost anything you'd want to. I know our dog would think he'd died and gone to heaven as he loves water.
