Bunky, that's a Norwegian trying to describe sugar with grains a lot bigger than normal sugar grains, which is used solely for decorative purposes on cakes, buns and such. I've no idea what it's proper English name is, so I translated directly from Norwegian, trusting my luck.

Oo, my trees are so ready to be picked for this, thanks Droopy and Toni!
I don't have any pearl sugar, but I do have turbinado (large raw sugar crystals with the molasses still in them) should work well.

CP, I'd love to hear how that goes. Kuntrygal, I'm very glad for the online conversion sites. I'd be pretty out of it without them. :D Only this time I really didn't know what to convert to, so thank you Toni. :D

The turbinado turned out great, I whipped some fresh cream & plopped it on top. I'm not too sure what variety of apple I used, the silly deer had picked off the last of the ones that I know by name. They are small, I peeled up 3 so it was very appley & great with coffee!
