I put in nine Quinault strawberry plants in February 09. I was surprised to get strawberries the first spring. Boy did they ever set out runners. I gave plants to my son and two neighbors. I even started another 2' X 15' strawberry bed.

The second year plants are amazingly prolific. We've been eating strawberry shortcake, strawberry cheese cake and strawberry and banana parfait. Of course there's them that don't make it to the kitchen.

Production is slowing down a bit now. So, I'll collect a few berries and keep popping them to a freezer bag for ice cream and smoothies later on.

Your strawberry plant is beautiful and it's really loaded.
