EngineeringS---You could try marketing your chair to therapists/counselors. They have to sit all day as they talk with clients. Sitting all day is not good for anyone's back (or health for that matter). They might be interested in a good chair.
No wait! I have a suggestion also, which is - Don't make anything that will cure back pain... Why? Well, simply because my back pain (due to working in the garden) only lasts for a day at the most. But as an excuse to not do anything else - I can make it last for as long as a week! So for a habitual shirker like myself, if there ever came a thing which will cure back pain instantly - Then what will I use an an excuse to dodge other chores??? As the song goes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxOMTK5bYFA
I do get back pain from gardening but I think that is because I tend to do too much at once. In the UK you can never rely on the weather and working all week makes it hard to schedule jobs in a logical sequence. That means when the sun does peep out on a weekend, it becomes a mad rush to get all of the jobs done before the rains return. Saw your secondary post about the chair idea but that wouldn't help me as I'm moving around too much. To be honest the only chair I want is the sun lounger I sit in when I've finished the jobs so I can enjoy the fruits of my labour (and maybe a small glass of wine).
