They just keep seem to be getting bigger and better as the season progresses. Maybe it is just my imagination and love of them. I couldn't help posting more photos. A yard full ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden ) Hellebores are fantastic this year ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden )
OMG! I somehow missed these before. I can't believe I've gardened this long & never got Hellebores. They are definitely on my list now. All these are absolutely beautiful & come at a time when so few flowers are blooming.I'm going to dig out some of these gigantic hostas on the north side of the house & make a Hellebore bed. sNs
Beautiful Hellebores Jewell,..something i have never grown so i must drop a hint here and there when i tow someones boat home from the lake,..when i lived on the Victorian Estate there were huge areas in the woods covered with Green Hellebores and Primroses it was a sight to see.
Thanks Cherylad, they continue to amaze me this year. Especially as all the other perennials begin to bloom. It is a really nice cottage garden this spring. SNS, it is too bad we aren't living next door. I am adding hostas to my garden. I started last summer. I have lots of hellebore starts I could share. I think the mix will be good Philip, I am sure you will love your hellebores. Your so lucky to have people around who garden :-D nothing is more fun than sharing
