The Captain looks very happy with his cacti. Ferocactus and Echinocactus are on my tried-but-killed list. I was trying to grow Echinocactus grusonii to a respectable size. They're called Mother-in-Law's Seat up here. Of course it died.

Oh dear, never mind Droopers, I managed to kill the majority of my houseplants this winter.
I think I shall have to stick to shrubs perennials and climbers outside - they see me coming and put up a better fight than their indoor cousins

    He is Droopy :D

We call them Mother in law's seat too :D There was a stonking great one in the Garden Centre today for £35. You'm not watering your cacti in the winter are you? :worried:

Bit of potting up today :)

I do water them a bit in winter now since they're in the livingroom under grow lights and dry up very quickly. You can see them shrink, lol. I had a chilly room with a good window sill where I used to grow cacti, and I didn't water them for a couple of months. Several have died due to pests that either were hidden in the cactus when I brought it home from the nursery or on another I already had that spread. I hate mealybugs! I'm really, really trying to give them the best care I can. I'm hoping to win the lottery and put up a greenhouse.

Think they were sown in 2019 Pac :)

Must be difficult living in the North Pole :sete_054: I keep most of mine in a cool greenhouse but that must mean close to 0 degrees Kelvin where you are :setf_050: Mealybugs are a pain in the bottom, I'm using bugclear twice a year now, they crawl out of the pots and die of death after a good soak with that :setc_008:

You have a variegated Euphorbia? Cute bears and other helpers, but do you have a variegated Euphorbia in your cactus house?

Glad you liked it Pac :) Never published a full length cartoon story before :)

He's ok now Logan, Tetters has knitted him a new shirt and promoted him to Manager :)

Ta Droopy :) We do, wasn't sure if we could put it out all winter with the other Euphorbias?
