I've got special big tweezers for handling Opuntias/chollas

 

Thanks for that last photo, Zigs! I can use the big sausage tweezers to repot my two surviving cacti. I was thinking about borrowing my husband's chainmail gloves but thought that might be a bit over the top.

 

Chainmail gloves sound good too
