I finally found something I made at the end of last summer. Made from the lid of a round salt box. Just cut a circle to fit the opening of any size jar that uses the two piece lid. Makes an easy pour spout.

Great idea Toni. I always thought those salt tops must be good for something. Now I know!

Caity showed me a cool idea from pineterest the other day...

Recycle a water drinking bottle into a sealed bag closer.
Cut the top of the bottle off at the shoulder.
(use the bottom for a plant kloch if desired)
    unscrew the cap
thread the plastic bag through the opening (from the bottom to the top direction)
pull the plastic down around the opening evenly
    screw the lid back on
    done.

Clever! :) We keep this up we might be able to create a sub-forum for recycling ideas.

P.S. Is recycling ideas about recycling ideas an infinite loop? :smt119

I reuse the Parmesan cheese container to plant small seeds. Mixed with a little sand, easy smeasy to sow small seeds. Also handy to sprinkle crushed egg shells around plants for slug control. Prescription bottles and vitamin bottles are great seed storers. Write on the lid with sharpie and can stand several in a shoe box under the bed.

Deanna, I love those ideas also. However, I am mystified by the green bird feeder--what was it in a previous life?
