Around the same time there were also a couple of woodpidgeons making an attempt at nest-building in the tall conifer not far from the laurel. Thank goodness this remained a rather clumsy attempt! Imagine two rather fat birds swinging around in the (flexible) top of the conifer, hilarious.'' One nest would indeed have sent me slightly round the bend, so what I would have done having to watch two of them goodness knows
