Oh no, Tooty2shoes, those pesky voles!
I'm glad you found out it was them doing all the damage, and I really hope the Coyote pee does the trick. (if I were a vole, it would certainly make me run a mile! :D )

Mart around here their diet varies and they can eat fruit, veggies, roots, bulbs, insects, grains and grasses. I know we have a lot of them because of all the vole tunnels that show up after the snow melts. They love living in all the green vegetation we have around here. But now that I know it's probably them doing all that damage I'll stop mulching my garden so heavily and keep my grass clipping pile way away from the garden.

Gardenelf I'm hoping that it will do the trick. It got rid of the woodchuck last year that was trying to make a home under our barn floor. :-D Sprinkled the stuff around the barn and no more woodchuck. You have to keep applying it every few days when you first start. But after that you only have to apply it about every two weeks to keep those critters fooled. :-D

I have a similar method to keep coyotes out of our watermelon patch. I go to the Dollar store and buy a bottle of the cheap, like listerine mouthwash and some of the stinkiest perfume or aftershave they have. Mix it together in a spray bottle add water to the top, and spray my melons with it. Couple of years ago they wiped us out. Haven`t lost any since I started using this stuff.

That is a super idea. Almost sounds like a Jerry Baker remedy. Have you read any of his concoctions at all? Some sound pretty weird but are suppose to work really good. Work smarter not harder. ;)
