Wow beautiful..... A lot of flowers I've never seen or heard of..... You have a nice assortment.... you did really well I hope to have a garden as lovely as yours someday.....
Great photos Calin! I particularly liked the overall photos of your garden. It looks as though you have a stone path meandering through. I also particularly liked the jusxtaposition of the yellow kniphofia against the blue/purple sage. Thanks so much for posting. (BTW your garden is way ahead of mine by probably 3 weeks or more. I live in the northeast US).
Those are gorgeous! So happy you've gotten some much needed rain. I am jealous of your Kniphofia. I've been trying to get some to thrive for me. So far... they are alive... but no signs of blooms.
THANK YOU! I do have two winding paths but slowly they are overrun by different plants... I almost feel sorry when I step on them. The kniphofia... maybe not cold enough in winter? Mine are so big and dense I need to separate them. Here's some new ones from last Saturday.
Wow Calin! Everything looks so good. I fell in love with the Fritillaria imperialis. And guess what? One of my kniphofias is blooming! It's still all yellow, but hopefully it'll start to change to orange/red.
Good 4 U! Chances are if the Kniphofia develops and still doesn't turn orange, it's plain yellow. I know... the Fritillaria is indeed gorgeous. Works fine from seeds, but you need lots of patience, like with all bulbs!
So far it's not showing any signs of changing colors... but it is putting out a second bloom. Guess I'll just have to live with yellow ones. Now... if the other three would just follow their lead. :-D

Oh well... glad I could help you spend money. But warning! They do grow rather BIG. Leaves could be really long. It helps if you cut them off at some point. In winter, I leave them be, but in spring I cut them above ground and it quickly grows back. I have tons of leaves.I really should separate this bunch in the fall.
Calin, Barb, & Cheryl, I grew some from seed a number of years ago. All of them are still going strong. And they came up in a variety of colors along the continuum from solid pale yellow to the yellow/orange stripe. They have done well & transplant well. I have not tried to divide them yet, so I don't know about that. None have self-sowed. They have never been bothered by bugs or deer, a big plus .
My hubby figured out that we may have another one of these plants in the front garden. I will go look at it this morning. He said it even bloomed. I really don't know my yard plants well. I have so many plants I don't know what I am doing. Oh well, Now I may have 2 of them. :-D :-D
