How about "Trespassers will be plucked up and composted"
Threatening to shoot someone might get you in more trouble than a flower is worth. ;)

Like Frank's idea but without the 'Thank You'. When I notice soemone messing with my garden, I tend to forget my manners ;)

I think the 'Thank You' gives the statement more credibility :setc_017:

if everyone know about the 'yellow crime scene tape' they use to keep people at bay. Well anyway hubby says he'll rope off my flower with crime scene tape-maybe this way it won't get touched.

I would probably freak out when my garden is violated. I feel for you on this one Petunia.

However, a lot a good ideas came from the discussion and I will surely put some in practice since a part of my garden spills out onto the sidewalk and often I spot people pinching and damaging the plants. I do not mind them taking and growing it in their gardens as well, but where I do get upset is when people deliberately damage them.

And yet another point here. I was out walking the dogs last nite and noticed on this same plant there are 2 more flowers coming, but one has gotten broken also. And there were kids playing out there (specifically, neighbors grandkids) I'm thinking they got goofing around and broke this other flower. I'm wondering if it would still bloom if I put it in some water?

May as well try it in water, otherwise it will die just hanging there.

I have large birds that have broken some flower stems from time to time. I think they are zooming thru the yard at too low an altitude, I have seen them doing that when we have been sitting on the patio in the evening, it makes me want to holler 'pull up, pull up' as they go by. ;)
