Tetters, we are not talented, but my husband is. I must say that you with your lovely flowerbeds, and Zigs with his masonry skills, are vastly more talented. I love all the various skills people here on the Stew have, and are willing to show and talk about. One can learn so much!
I reckon one needs to be very patient to create something of quality. Unfortunately I find patience a bit difficult. Recently I wanted to think of something to do with some old sheets that were not needed. I found a video on You tube to follow, bought a massive thick crochet hook, tore the sheets into 1" strips and crocheted them into a rug. My adulation from Lord Awful? ''Oi, Jack the ripper'' !! The rug ended up a funny shape, but it does the job for the utility room ......nothing to write home about though.
