Christmas dinner veggies---Now with pictures of the veggies

    Oh boy what a haul EJ!! I hope those veggies tasted as good as they look. :-D

    They were all cooked as seperate veggie dishes. The sprouts were just steamed until tender, then tossed in the frying pan with bacon lardons and chestnuts before serving. The parsnips were cut into chunky chips, parboiled and then roasted in the oven with the roast spuds in duck fat. The carrots, just scraped, sliced and boiled until just tender, then tossed in some butter before serving. The beetroots I roast in foil or boil until very tender, then leave in the water to cool. Mum and I then just peel them and eat them like apples as we love them. :) The cabbage is still waiting in the wings. That is another one I like stir fried with onion and bacon. yumsky.

    Oh wow, it all looks and sounds delicious!
    We had my garden Kale and Red Cabbage with our Christmas dinner too :)

    I could almost taste those carrots and leeks. :p Yum!
