Cheryl, this is slightly off-topic, so forgive me. Two years ago I bought fence staples and spent an afternoon re-attaching the barbed wire to the cedar posts that line the north side of our little property. I enjoyed the fresh air, getting something done, and if I do say so myself, I did a pretty good job.
The guy who owns the field to the north of us and runs cattle came over to ask me why I "messed with his fence." I told him I repaired OUR fence so HIS cattle wouldn't "mess with" our field!
After that, he has been a very nice neighbor and has maintained his/our fence.
Have you told your neighbors the sight of their rusted junk isn't improving the area? Sometimes people just get used to things and don't really "see" the mess.

    Wow, you're industrious!

That was my first thought. My second was how you could possibly be managing to do all that in such nasty weather….then I remembered that it's MY weather that's so bad, not yours.

Clearly it's time for there to be some sun around here. It's beginning to affect my brain!

Jane... these people don't care. When I put up those few panels of privacy fence, they came over to see what we were doing and even joked about how I was probably putting it there to hide all their junk. I said "yep"!
They have had people come and offer to pay them to haul off some of the equipment for scrap metal and they continually refuse.
These are also the same people who tried stealing about 1/2 acre of my other neighbor's land my simply taking down their fence to let their horses have more room. It took him 2 years, 3 surveys and taking them to court to get his land back.
I used to get along with them until the land stealing incident. Oh... I still speak and wave. But that's as far as it goes. I may have to be their neighbor, but I certainly don't have to be there friend.

Yes Ronni... I think you're in need of some warm sunshine! :stew2:
