Jan, I'd love to see that picture. You know, I think you'd enjoy riding these horses as they are "gaited". All gaited means is that they are not a trotting breed. They are wired to perform a very fast walk taking very long strides with the back legs over striding the fronts. They cover ground quickly and smoothly (if you have a good one) and in STYLE. muddy
Muddy, so many people have told me I *could* ride their horse. They were wrong wrong wrong. And I was sore sore sore. The horses I fell from never went faster than a very slow walk. Many times I fell off the other side while getting on.
You sound like some of the drunks out here. joking. I knew one old boy with a horse that was so used to losing the rider he'd just go back to camp without him. The buddies would then go and find him passed out along the trail! Nice steady horse. Not much bothered T-Bird. muddy
I do not understand it either Muddy.I don't know if they thought she was a deer or did it for sport what ever it broke all our hearts as we had traded an appolussa for her(Can't sp. it and spell check doesn't have it)but he was to high sprited for the kids to ride .We never got another one .Kevin got a black and white hefer and he rode her instead . Her name was valentine because of the heart in her forehead.
