I found another black widow spider today in one of the house plants I had put outdoors last week. I killed her and her spawn... I hate those things too. I am so glad that I sprayed bug spray in my house.

I saw the surgeon today. He will be doing some minor surgery on the bite area, and removing the blood blister and any damaged tissue on my finger where I was bitten. I have not had a chance to resize my pictures yet.

That's good news. Now I hope the finger heals quickly and you'll soon be back to normal again. :-D

Word of advice--take advantage of having a giant bandage on your hand. You can get a lot of sympathy out of a bandage while getting out of a lot of work.
My husband had a close encounter with a table saw and had two hand surgeries to repair his poor thumb. I was cutting up his dinner into bite size bits, helping him dress, and stepping and fetching. If it weren't for the pain, he would have enjoyed the attention!
Do take care and don't try to use your hand before you are ready. I'm so happy it wasn't worse (and sure wish it had been better!).

Thanks. I do have a friend to back me up on the piano tomorrow at church. The kids help some. My primary did have to change the bandage already. I just cant seem to stay out of stuff with a bandage. I will have to skip the garden for a bit so it does not get infected.

    thanks everyone.

One other bit of good news. Sort of. I did kill a large copperhead on my porch a little bit ago. But it is not the same one that got me, that one was smaller. AND they run in pairs... I will DEFINITELY keep my eyes open for others!!! I am glad it is dead.

Isn't there some kind of snake repellent you can sprinkle around to deter the snakes? I haven't ever had need of it, but I am sure I have seen it advertised.

    Be careful!
