I am not going to say a word about our weather here in sunny, warm central Texas.

Snow for 2 hrs then rain for several more. the result several inches of heavy slush only a shovel would move. Tonight it freezes. Yuck squared

I'm just going to whine a moment about my yucky snowy weather here. Yesterday, about 2 hours after I finished shoveling off all the driveway, walks and deck... it started snowing again, and kept it up all day. Geesh! Enough already!

O.K. I'm officially tired of this #*^+% stuff that has consistently interrupted the view of back yard terra firma. The ground hog has been taken off my Christmas list and has now been placed on the shopping list. :)

Will it never end? Last night we had strong storms come through. At 3:30 am I got woke up by tornadoe sirens. Nothing ever happened with that, luckily, but i was already awake!

    Tornado sirens? Wow!
We had heavy rains for a while and then it changed to snow. It's coming down thick right now...

Tornado sirens? Sounds like the Captain lives in a weather war zone. Today on the schedule is ice! It coats everything. The birds land on their feeders and slide right off. Cars go sideways down the road. I think I will stay inside today and sort seeds from last fall. Groundhog stew is on the menu. :) The sun will need an ice pick to get to the snow for melting.

At 3:30 am it was 58 deg. Now it is s8 deg F. Big change. There are several towns around here that have flooding going on.

That's the next thing we have to contend with, floods.
Even if the snow, rain and sleet end some have to be concerned with rising rivers. There are times I am glad I live on a hill.

My house is on a hill, but my 1/4 mile long drivway goes through a low area. That is what floods and washes out sometimes. Water was across the drive in one spot, but no wash out.
