Well..a sad report...rapunzel was doing well for a minute then..she started drying out and looking really ugly from halfway up to the top...it was time to let it go and give it a huge hair cut for the fall..letting the smaller suckers grow for.the fall weather, which we don't usually have until almost December here.

Can you describe what the dying off place looked like in the middle of Rapunzel's stalk?

Nothing has changed recently HummerBum. Make sure your photo's resolution is no greater than 2048 width x 1536 height, and less than 5MB in file size.

Overdue update: I've been sick for a month (literally our boss made us sick) and evacuating/running from hurricanes here in savannah ga. Rapunzel is still trying to hold on by her suckers..they blossom but nothing. I am even pollinating with an electric toothbrush..lol. It's working on my peppers but we will see on her. It was just too hot here. Next year, I know what not to do. I will just plant flowers for the spring/summer. But will get in as much as i can during early spring, which is usually an optimal time here. Winters are so mild it's ridiculous, but I'll take it.

Great to hear from you, Hummer.
Boy, oh boy--it sounds like it was quite dramatic there on several levels. Pity that you reacted so heavily to the office behaviour of your boss. A good work sphere is is a blessing to have but can be so easily disturbed by just one person sometimes. It is a fragile thing. Good luck there in the future.

At any rate, glad to have you back home here.

Sorry for your sickness, Hummer. As if a hurricane wasn't bad enough.

The report on Rapunzel is that I cut her down a day after my last post. It was no use and i'll do something different next year.

I'm certain we all look forward to Rapunzel's kinfolk showing up in the Spring of 2018 .
