Here we settle in after supper on friday evening to watch the British gardening shows. It has become a tradition.
I enjoy the tips and techniques. Seeing how other folks do it is a great pleasure for me. I enjoy trying new things...when they make sense to me as well. ;)

I do believe that most of us probably knows Mrs Bucket - err. "Bu Kay" We all love it and every time we have a rerun on our channels, we make time to watch it. Hyacinth is hillarious - but I think it is because there are so many of her ways that one can identify with. :D

    British and gardening

COrrect to both of you .

British do have a way with gardens, and Mrs Bucket an all......the brother in law is funny as well as the rest of the cast.......
Yes we all seem to know someone who fits the picture for each character..........

Those are my idea of funny......Along with the Jamers Herriot the vet from there.. I read every book he had out.

Yeah .. that "Keeping Up Appearances" show is funny.
The British have a sense of humour that I like very much. Some is very clever.
Have you ever seen a show called "One Foot in the Grave"? That show makes me weak. :D

    :-o :'( hahahahahaha
Well, it's a real shame that you don't get that show. It is really something.
It would be just the thing to watch during the depths of winter. I have seen boxes of the series for sale on amazon or somewhere and was tempted to order them.
I enjoy that series so much that I sometimes watch episodes over and over again when they re-run them. I often have sore sides from watching it. I'll tell you B, the folks that wrote that show were a very clever bunch.

Barb, I think the show you are thinking of is "Last of the Summer Wine" That one is very good.

I wish some of the gardening shows would give a bit more information on disease prevention. I often wonder, after they have done their spectacular makeovers, how do the plants look a year later? Guess I'm a bit focused on that aspect of gardening, since where I live has been nothing but rocks and wildflowers and I'm trying to make it a lush garden, silly me.
