Do you watch gardening television programs?

Tv is pretend lady............

Tv doesnt show the bad stuff of plants.Who would watch if they did.

You can do it......there are lots of plants that like rocks, like Hen and chickens which will come back yearly...

Dont give up, ask questions on here and I am sure someone can help..

If you go here you can listen to yesterday's "Gardners'Question Time", a BBC radio program where folks get their questions answered by specialists. One of the usual panel members is Pippa Greenwood, who specializes in plant disease.
The panel addresses questions from the live audience, but sometimes they will answer sent-in questions from the people at home.

 

One of my favorite gardening shows on HGTV is Groundbreakers (airs here on Saturday mornings). They actually work with Landscape Architects to construct some amazing landscapes. Not just a planting show...they start with the plan and then do major regrading, install phenomenal water features including pools, and feature lots of hardscaping elements. I love the before and after transformations, and wish I had the money to do some of the projects they design!

So many of the gardening shows on HGTV are about minor transformations...they complete the project in a day or two. I prefer those shows that feature complete transformations, where they take a "nothing" space and turn it into a masterpiece. We can all dream, can't we!!!???

The advantage to a prairie garden though, very few weeds want to thrive here either, lol!

 

It was very interesting reading all your missives regarding TV in Britain, I did not realise the Gardening programmes went to the states.
I watch nearly all of them and have turned my husband over the last thirty years into a great labourer with me as the foreman, we have managed to change our garden around a few times and enjoy it more and more.

I watch just about any Gardening show on TV, and like Netty said, we dont seem to get that many up here, although i did find one on Saturdays on channel 17 that seems ok.
