Sounds like you had a thorough check-up so far. Take it easy now, won't you? And don't forget to visit the family doctor. :D

Well Dooley you are home. WHEW! That was an ordeal for us all here too. Such an event alarms everyone near and dear to you as you can see from the responces on this thread.
I found myself checking in more frequently just to see if there was news.
I know that you are very glad to be home and in familiar surroundings. I hope that they gave you some good meds to take and perhaps they want you to sleep with your torso slightly elevated with an extra pillow to make it more difficult for the stomach contents to reflux back up into the esophagus when you lie down to sleep. I reckon that you don't eat too much before going to bed now do you.
Well Dooley, let that tissue heal and I hope that you will be feeling your old self very soon.
Glad to see you back! :)

Glad to see you are at home Dooley. Get those tests done soon because if it is GERD you need to make sure there isn't any damage done to your esophagus from the reflux.
Randy has had that for several years and the only thing that keeps it under control is Prilosec (the store brand versions of it work just as good and are cheaper)

I am so glad you are home! Bet Chance missed you :p
Make sure you get to the doctor and do what he tells you! Like Toni said, take the zantac or prilosec or whatever they give you. It doesn't work right away but eventually it slows down acid production so you can heal. I think you were just doing too much and thinking too much about your move ;) That's Doctor Deanna's opinion :D

Thanks every one for worrying with me. I'm feeling better now that I have slept for twelve hours. I did sleep with two pillows last night. I'll call the doctor's office late this morning and see if I have an appointment with them. The paper from the hospital says I do but I didn't make it and it doesn't say anything about time or anything. I have a diet list and some prilosec to take for two weeks. I've been hearing this sort of thing runs in the family. I knew about the gall bladder genetic thing but not the acid reflux part of it. So that makes me feel a bit better about it. Not so much worried as I was and we'll gather all of our doctor records and make a visit to Glenda's doctor as soon as we can when we get to Texas. We will follow up here and there with things.
I'm glad they had a bed made up for dr to stay. This hospital has 24/7 visiting for adult family members and a bed in one corner of the room for a family member to stay over. I've never seen that before. But, it made me feel better. I think it made dr feel better too. Anyway, thanks for the prayers, worries and good thoughts and wishes. dooley
