hi sjoerd! sorry to have been gone for so long...buzy buzy buzy! i have a bunch of garden pics to post later, too! the duckies will be mainly for their eggs. you know, one chicken egg for breakfast is not quite enough, and a duck egg is like one and a half chicken eggs....just right, imo! we also may butcher a couple. we have to see how many males there are. we need a few to fertilize the eggs...better for you! we should know in a couple more weeks. the 'boys' get a little curly-que type feather over their tails. we can also use them for barter.
the ducks are 13 weeks today! here's a couple closeups of them... they have bright blue feathers on their wings that shine in the sun... ducks in pond...they sure love that water...
Gosh Bunkie--they look quite attractive. What a change from the plumage that they were sporting as ducklings, eh? You have done a smashing job rearing them.
more pics... duck expansion...apparently the duckies thought their pond was too small...we now have to enlarge their pen... new duck feeder... boy ducks...see the little curly tail feather... duck's anxiously waiting... spraying ducks.... happy ducks...

Yes Bip, we still have 3 boys and 11 girls. I've posted pics on the 'bunkie doing' thread. Right on Philip! Readying to pickle some of their eggs as we speak!
