Happy to hear from you Eileen. Now we just need to hear from the others.
There was nothing on the news here about the storms.
    Good thing for the internet!

Glad to hear everyone is safe. I wonder how others weathered the storm surge when the high tides occurred.

We got away very lightly down in the south, with just very strong winds which have cleared all but the most stubborn leaves from the trees.Walking the dogs was umm, interesting, especially trying to walk into the wind.

Today is much nicer, with clear skies and sunshine and only the whisper of a breeze.

I'm so glad you are all okay and checking in. The TV news hasn't shown anything but tributes to Nelson Mandela. Don't get me wrong, I thought he was an awesome man and did so much for our world... however.... there are other things happening out there that we should be kept informed about.

Thanks for your concern guys. Its not been to bad here for us. Just some strong winds thats knocked over trees and blow top of my shed off and broke my other greenhouse. But apart from that i am fine :)

So happy to hear from you two, Kiasmum and CariAnn! Now, if Syd checks in that would be wonderful, too.
I can't keep track of all our European friends, so forgive me if I fail to mention someone. You are definitely in our thoughts, though!

I'm relieved that you're all fine! Storms with hurricane force gusts and high tide on top of that is serious weather.

Hi Eileen,..nice to find you were not affected by the storm,..we were worried as you are always there for us.

Nice to see Kiasmum and CariAnn88 are safe as well.

Hoping everyone else this side of the pond is safe,..there were houses washed into the sea due to subsidence along the coasts and sadly some lives were lost.

Great link Droopy,..like most of you folks i was watching for news on the TV,..not a lot to be seen except brief flashes,..however going for a doggy walk where there were trees was certainly out of the question.
