    sjoerd, we have grown the Pontiac Reds also, and liked them alot.

    Well Bunkie--that makes two folks on here trying the Pontiac Reds...They can't be all bad then, can they? ;)

    The red spuds that I planted this year were the "Roseval". I have used them before and I hope that they come out good again.

    Sjoerd, If you have told me before, I apologize, but I'm asking, how long do I keep adding soil to the potato plants? They are between 2 and 3 feet tall and are blossming. I wonder if I should continue adding soil, or should I just watch them grow now?
    i believe I made a mistake when planting. I laid the potatoes sprout side down I think. Will this make a difference in production?
    You are my source of information on spud growing, hilling and harvesting. I thank you in advance.
