First ever Garlic harvest

    Mine never produced scapes, just leaves that grew and grew and grew and died .

    Toni, that's a new experience to me. I have always had scapes on garlic. In fact, our flower gardens have garlic growing here and there due to my tossing scapes around.
    We have taken up most of the garlic. It looks good, and I don't think we left it in too long. I did just learn, (perhaps I knew it and forgot it), to keep garlic out of the sunlight for drying.

    Interesting Toni. The pics you posted looks like they had hard necks, and those are the ones that create the scapes.
