Here's a video but the measurements are in grams not ounces.

Here's one that makes thin cookies but in ounces.

Those cookies do look delicious Sj.

I use the recipe on the back of the Ghirardelli chocolate chip bag. I don't add as much sugar though & they tend to come out thicker & softer, not flat & crispy.

Thanks Loggie. No worries about the grams—that is what we use over here. Only foreigners use ounces. Chortle. Do you think the upper vid is for soft cookies? I am not looking for the crispy-crumply ones.
Are either one of these recipe’s ones that you have tried and tested?

Hi Cayu— cheers, glad you liked the looks of them. They were soft and delicious. Thanks for your tip. I'll look up the Ghiradelli cookie bag.

:chuckle: That's ok then about the grams, no I haven't tried them but the first video is from BBC good food so it should be good and it's for the soft ones.

Wish I trusted the BBC, but I don't think much of them these days. They take money from the public for TV services they don't provide for one thing, and I've heard that they intend to monetise BBC Good food as well....... don't get me started :smt011

What I do have against the Beeb is the fact that they still charge fees. We got rid of that ridiculous system almost twenty years ago.
I mean, it doesn’t effect me, but I feel bad for the inhabitants of your island.

There are too many of those inhabitants who simply will not stop paying for the licence! Many of them do not actually need one anyway, and the vast majority of TV programs can be accessed for free. They send their bully boys around to hassle people and frighten the lives out of old and vulnerable folks who should be left alone. Even those with Alzheimers disease have been targeted and scared witless.... makes me righteously angry o_O

This is part of an effort to change things. There is also a society called ''Silver voices'' which campaigns for us oldies ( I am a member)
I will NOT be paying them another penny - ever, and haven't done now for over two years.

Tetters, I had a look to see when our government ended the telly and radio fees. It was 1 january 2000. In effect the government pays fees out of income tax money.

You know when we came back from one of our extended trips in the late ‘90s. We found a flat, and after some months we got a knock on the door. Who was it? A bloke from the telly fees. He was perturbed that we had not paid, and when we told him it was because we had no telly, he actually looked around.

I mean, we already did not go along with the fee scheme and this little presumptive action sort of cemented our opinion. A couple of years after that it was stopped. I support your protest, having been there myself.

Things really need to change here. We watched a video recorded on someone's door bell camera in the last couple of days. I don't want to put it on here because the man from TV licencing (a salesman on commission) used such disgusting language it mustn't be repeated.
If anyone knocks on my door they will not be allowed to come into the house. When they have identified who they are they will be told ''NO thank you'' and the door will be closed. That then will be the end of that.
