One person had planted part of their tree lawn with daffodils around a tree.

    That would be pretty.

Past our tree lawn, we have a slope that rises up to our lawn area. I have been planting that slope with daffodils, azaleas, hostas, daylilies, etc. There us a lot one can do with a slope.

We do not have a tree lawn as there isn't a side walk. The lawn runs down to the curb. I never thought about planting flowers on it. Could anyone with a planted slope post a picture of it? It sounds interesting.

@2ofus Here are some shots of slopes.

The idea is that you can plant a series of the same plant, going down the slope so it looks as though it is flowing like water. My photos of this are not that great & my execution with my plants still leaves a lot to be desired. But hopefully you get the idea.

Or you can plant the whole slope in a uniform ground cover (pachysandra, ivy etc)

    Or go for foliage contrast.

    The slope makes things interesting.

I included a shot of stone steps leading up a slope. Always intriguing to see where they go.
