I can't sew a stitch but really appreciate all the work that goes into a quilt. Yours is beautiful. I've bought a few from our local Amish community (they have a quilt auction twice a year here). There are also a number of quilting guilds in our area...mostly retired women who are passionate about their quilting. Maybe when I retire, I'll give sewing another try.

Absolutely beautiful, @Sjoerd! . A little blurry to my bad eyes now but I can still tell it's wonderful. I'll keep looking and admire some more later. That has the perfect amount of color and white for a really crisp, clean look. The hand quilting is so nice. It shows the patience and meticulous detail of its maker. Really lovely. Thank you for posting your mom's caring effort.
Glad you liked that, Daniel. I do not think she used a machine to sew it, only handwork. I am very careful with it and never use it to sleep under, only to decorate the bed.
