We don't have stands along the road here. It's too hot. There is a farmer's market on Wednesday and Saturday. I bought some white eggplants on Wednesday. They are a little pricey here mainly because of the water it takes to grow them. dooley
That is very nice Sjoerd. I love the quaint country village feel about the stands and the fact you don't see any vendors. Is it all on the 'honor' system? That wouldn't work for a minute in the city. Like Toni said, that is one of the things I missed living in the big city. But now, I am in the country, almost. Pop. 32,000 compared to 3,000,000 (not sure of the pop. since I haven't lived in Dallas in 9 years) in Dallas.
Nope not that many of us here yet..... The city of Dallas has a population of 1,232,940. The Dallas County only has a population of 2,345,815 as of the 2006 census.
So Dallas county holds about half of the total population in all of Norway. Numbers really put things in perspective!
Norway has an area of 125,004 square miles/323,758 square kilometers Dallas County has an area of 3,605 square miles/1382 square kilometers So we are definitely packed in like sardines.
