I'm resurrecting this post because I was able to buy gas for $1.78 a gallon today and I hear it's still going down.
Our prices are dropping too and we can now get diesel for 99.9p per litre. Hopefully the price will come down even more in the next few weeks.
Fuel prices in my country are regulated once every 15 days. So I have not seen any change yet, but everyone knows that the price will fall sharply now, as the UN economic sanctions on Iran got lifted a few days back. So suddenly there is a lot of extra crude oil in the international markets. Iranians too need this money very badly, so they have openly said that they will keep pumping more and more oil - Thus causing the price of crude oil to fall even further!
Gas has been hovering around 90cents a litre here. While this is cheaper than it has been for a while, I question why it is still so high with oil being $30 a barrel?
We pay around 1, 63 USD or 14 NOK for 1 liter of petrol here now. That's lower than it has been in a long time. Some days the price is only 12 kr. per liter, other days around 15.
Price of gas is dropping here too but then so are the jobs because of the lower prices. Over 56,000 jobs were lost in Texas last year.
Today January 25, 2016 and we saw gas prices as low as $1.69 for regular gas today...it sure is nice.
We are at $1.66 at most gas stations. It's great because we need to start tilling, shredding, and mowing, all of which require gasoline for our equipment. Big farmers use more diesel than regular gas, but I haven't noticed the price of diesel around here. If regular is cheaper, I'd think diesel is also.
I filled up for 1.43 a gal, but I went to take my FIL to the doctor and it jumped .30 in an hour. By the end of the day it was 1.79...everywhere. Have you ever seen it fall .30 in a day? me either.
