Well Droopy, Look what you've gone and done with your wishes and chipmunk show--a landslide of good wishes! Thank you so very much, fellow gardners. They are for real. I have been trying to get their photo with their pouches full all winter. I had just cleaned out all the wet birdseed from the feeders and he showed up to clean up all the seed on the ground. He made 3 or 4 trips to his borough to store it. I did have to crop the photo quite a bit so you could see his chubby cheeks. Hope you had a wonderful day

Ahhhh...what a sweet thing to say, Daisy. Ok then Gail. So it has pouches like a hamster, then. That is a remarkable and actually...quite attractive little animal. I must clean out my feeders frequently too when it's moist outside because some seeds germinate quickly--even with the low temps.
