Good heavens, yes! I just finished a nice chat with some Swiss chard, had a few words with my chickens, and complimented a climbing rose for actually being in bud. Later I'll go out and have a heart-to-heart with the peas--they are slacking off and need a pep talk. And my husband asks if I talked to anyone today!
I like that - Threaten the weeds...heheheee I think I should threaten my weeds here. But my weeds may hear me but might not listen. You see they are the industrial kind. (an old vehicle parked for two years on a section of the front lawn) and I think hubby does not want to get rid of it. Sentimental sod.. At least it got shifted to the back yard for the renovations currently happening here.
